81% units in Omniyat’s Newly Launched ANWA Project Sold

The AED 600 million project registered Dhs 432 million in sales during the first phase of launch

Dubai, UAE, 20 December 2014: Omniyat Group’s newly launched iconic project "ANWA" in Dubai Maritime City sold 81 per cent of its units in less than a week of opening the sales. The development group said they registered Dhs 432 million in sales for this ambitious seafront project.

Omniyat Group also announced that only a limited number of the upper floors of the G+44 remain available in addition to 5 town houses that were not released for sale. All the units in ANWA offer sea views, according to the group, which served as a strong USP for buyers.

Following the overwhelming response during the two-day launch sales, and to cater to the high demand from investors, the group extended the period by two more days.

Launched on December 9, the Dhs 600 million ANWA project by Omniyat is a 225-unit tower in Dubai Maritime City, comprising 48 storeys. The project will stand out as the guiding star of Dubai, visible from the sea. The project is scheduled to be handed over by the first quarter of 2016.

Omniyat Group has inked a partnership with Kele as the contractor for the project, and with Al Ghurair Contracting & Engineering Works as the specialist contractor for the piling works.

“The location of ANWA is perfect, as Dubai Maritime City is primed to be one of the hottest residential zones of Dubai. ANWA’s elegant offerings and upmarket standards, our partnership with Dubai Maritime City and our attractive payment plans were key factors that triggered such a fantastic response for this project,” said Mark Phoenix, Managing Director for Omniyat Group.

“We were greeted with phenomenal interest from end users, many of them living in the vicinity of Bur Dubai and Jumeirah. We are delighted with the appreciation for ANWA from our clients and investors, which we believe is an acknowledgement of Omniyat’s track record in delivering superior quality projects,” he added.

“We are proud of the efforts of our development and sales teams that have helped put the project on a sound footing.  With the commencement of works by Al Ghurair Contracting & Engineering Works, the awarding of the construction contract to Kele Construction and 81% sellout of the units, we are looking forward to driving the project to completion over the next two years," Phoenix added.

Dubai Maritime City is positioned to be one of the most desirable master developments in Dubai

Dubai, UAE, 9 December 2014: Omniyat Group, a leading developer in the Middle East, today broke ground on ANWA by Omniyat, one of the world’s most exciting seafront developments that will stand out as the guiding star of Dubai, visible from the sea in Dubai Maritime City.

At the ANWA ground breaking, Dubai Maritime City revealed its new ambitious plan for the marine destination that will have 53 mixed-use projects, hotels, shopping malls, restaurants and 10 fascinating parks.
The groundbreaking ceremony was conducted by H E Khamis Juma Buamim, Chairman, Dubai Maritime City and Mahdi Amjad, Omniyat Group’s Executive Chairman and CEO, along with other senior officials from Dubai Maritime City and Omniyat Group.

The group also announced the appointment of Kele as the contractor for the project, and Al Ghurair Contracting & Engineering Works as the specialist contractor for piling works.

Designed to recreate the glory days of trans-ocean cruising marked by glitz, glamour and art deco of the 20s and 30s, the prestigious project was initiated with the groundbreaking, followed by a press conference (9th December 2014) in Dubai Maritime City.

“It always gives me great pleasure to be at Dubai Maritime City, a city that will be a destination of choice not only for global maritime businesses and investors but also for those searching for a unique residential experience set along waterfront,” said Mahdi Amjad, Omniyat Group Executive Chairman and CEO. “I am extremely happy to be in the company of H E Khamis Juma Buamim whom I whole-heartedly thank for the relentless support and spirit of partnership extended by Dubai Maritime City to Omniyat Group since this project was in its embryonic phase.”

H E Buamim said: “We are delighted to take part in the ceremony to break ground on ANWA by Omniyat. This project will play a key role in positioning Dubai Maritime City as an ideal location for modern living with a perfect work-life balance. ANWA will be a key component of Dubai Maritime City offering an ideal living experience by the sea.”

ANWA by Omniyat will be one of the world’s most exciting maritime developments that will stand out as the first symbol of Dubai visible from the sea. Located right next to the marina and the beautiful boardwalk, ANWA is positioned on the same strip as the Four Seasons and the Bulgari hotels. It offers residential apartments, all with sea views, some with two-sided views of Deira Islands and Jumeirah. Mark Phoenix, Managing Director of Omniyat Group commented, “We are proud of the efforts of our Development and Sales teams that have led to the success of this project.”

“Through this project, Omniyat is not just developing a dynamic, sea-facing zone, but introducing a concept that guarantees a totally new experience in opulence, distinguished by standout elevation and lavish interiors. It will be Dubai Maritime City’s foremost residential project,” added Amjad.

Principally located towards the east of Dubai between Port Rashid and Dubai Dry Docks, Dubai Maritime City is situated in close proximity to Jumeirah Beach Road (1km), Sheikh Zayed Road (3km), and the Dubai International Airport (10km). It is just 15 minutes away from Burj Khalifa and Dubai Mall.

Elaborating on Dubai Maritime City as a hot destination, H E Buamim added: “Dubai Maritime City will also incorporate retail spaces and offices. The Business District will have a 3,200-meter-long boardwalk with dedicated jogging and cycling tracks. Moreover, there will be world-class berths for boats. The Marine District will house some of the largest yacht manufacturers from Europe and Middle East and leading spare parts suppliers and repair centres.”
H E added: “A new bridge will connect Bur Dubai to the Dubai Maritime City Business District, and a tram line will link the whole Business District. A multilevel car park will be developed, along valet parking zones. We are pleased to announce that all basic infrastructures, including DEWA substations, have been completed.”
Featuring sweeping views of the ocean from every floor, ANWA by Omniyat will be dressed to perfection, offering 225 units, incorporating 29 studios, 80 one-bedroom, 87 two-bedroom and 23 three-bedroom apartments, 1 penthouse and 5 townhouses. It will also have 8,133 sq ft of retail area as well as landscaped gardens, gymnasium, infinity pool, kids pool and play area and barbeque area.

Amjad added: “We have designed ANWA for those with exquisite taste and who aspire for ultimate elegance and exclusive living. Interest has been phenomenal and we are very excited about the launch.”
Amjad said: “Dubai is a city of dreams and it is the place where scale meets imagination. We have created ANWA by Omniyat to offer a style of living never seen before in this part of the world. Omniyat will live up to its promise of delivering one of the most innovative projects of our time. It represents a big-time investment opportunity for investors.”

“Earlier, we succeeded in bringing a slice of Miami to Dubai through the new design of The Pad tower in Burj Khalifa District. With ANWA, we aim to bring a piece of the past into the glamorous modern surroundings of the Emirate.”
