March 1, 2009
The 'International Property Show - Dubai 2009', the biggest transactional property exhibition in the region, has successfully concluded, witnessing substantial property deals struck among developers, real estate companies and investors who attended the three-day event. Strategic Marketing & Exhibitions (SME), organiser of the show, revealed that a majority of exhibitors have expressed positive feedback in relation to their participation amidst the current downtrend in the property sector, which has had obvious implications on this year’s event. Furthermore, the presence of RERA Consultancy Zones for the first time at the event, where authorised representatives disseminated information on introducing new property laws was also a huge hit among the attendees.
Global real estate companies who participated at the event include leading companies from the UK and US, in addition to international delegations from Malaysia, Spain, Thailand, South Africa, Bulgaria, Korea and Cyprus. Among the success stories during this year’s show was the participation of global exhibitors Scala Land Group from the UK, Polar Global Marketing Direct from Spain, and Stonehenge Builders, Inc. and Florida Choice Realty from the US, who all expressed their satisfaction over the results they have achieved. Considering the success of this year’s event and the positive feedback of the participants as well as investors, the organiser has announced the launch of a branch office in Italy to support the new strategies and services offered by the company.
“We have seen the excellent results of our participation, which has presented us with an opportunity to get closer to potential customers and partners based in the region and expose them to the extensive scope of our operations, which cover industrial, commercial, institutional, and residential projects. We really appreciate the presence of an event such as 'International Property Show - Dubai 2009', which provide internationally based organisations an opportunity to explore possible business opportunities with high net-worth investors in the Middle East. Given the favourable results we have achieved this year, we are looking forward to participating at next year’s event,” said Eve Wittmann, President & CEO of Advanced Global Network LLC, a joint venture partner of Stonehenge Builders Inc, Emerald Falcon Projects of Florida USA.
Headlining the local presence at the ‘International Property Show - Dubai 2009’ was the Falconcity of Wonders, who participated as the Gold Sponsor of the event. Furthermore, leading real estate companies that showcased their UAE-based developments at the show included Khoie Properties, Bonyan International Investment Group, Tiger Properties, RAK Properties, Dubai World Central, Roots Land Real Estate, Corner Stone Real Estate, Chapal World LLC, Savannah Properties, Threesixty, KM Properties, Time Properties, Asia Star Properties International, and Sherwoods Independent Property Consultant among others. In addition to being a platform for collective discussion on how to revive the market, the event also provided developers an opportunity to highlight their preferential pricing schemes and prices during the event.
”The success of the 'International Property Show - Dubai 2009' proves that challenges can be overcome if we include creativity to our strategy while leveraging resources efficiently,” said Dawood Al Shezawi, Managing Director, Strategic Marketing & Exhibitions. "Our collective efforts to revive the market will form the foundation for a sturdier market structure in the future, which will prevent a repeat of the crisis we are witnessing currently. We would like to extend our gratitude to RERA and the Dubai Land Department for their continuous support to the show. We would also like to thank all the exhibitors and visitors at this year’s event for their patronage, and we look forward to their cooperation in the months ahead as we press ahead with our new growth initiatives like the opening of our European office in Italy to address requirements of the international markets.”
The ‘International Property Show - Dubai 2009’ was first organised in 2004, and has since grown to become the definitive event for companies seeking to establish strong personal relationships with worldwide players in property and investment industries. At present, SME is working on the next edition of the show, which is expected to draw in many serious buyers and investors seeking to acquire high quality residential, commercial or mixed-use units.
