RTA: Endorses Construction of Mirdiff City Center-Bound Bridges Costing AED184m

Dubai (United Arab Emirates): The Board of Directors of Roads & Transport Authority (RTA), chaired by H.E. Mattar Al Tayer, Chairman of the Board & Executive Director of RTA, endorsed the award of a Contract to construct Mirdiff City Center-Bound Bridges at a cost of Dh184 million to be borne by Majid Al Futtaim Co.
“The Project is meant to provide entry & exit points to Mirdiff City Center from all directions by capitalizing on the existing bridges & slopes in addition to constructing new bridges. The project has been designed with a view to providing direct entry points to the Center from various spots of the multi-level parking lot in the direction of Emirates Road and Tripoli Road” said Al Tayer.
He added: “The Project comprises construction of a three-lane bridge for the traffic bound to the Center from Rashidiya, and another bridge to serve traffic bound to the Center from Tripoli Road”.
It is note-worthy that the total area of “Mirdiff City Center” project is 196,000 square meters providing a space to house 430 outlets. The Center has a unique collection of about 180 new brands and provides ample space for recreational facilities within the complex.
The Center has access points and parking facilities to accommodate 7000 vehicles in a 3-level parking lot which is fitted with 12 entry & exit points at various levels of the car park.
Mirdiff City Center will house special community areas, clinics, SPA, personal care facilities, and a gym. It has unique recreational and fun facilities spanning an area in excess of 20,000 square meters which include a special kids fun learning center, an internal aviation center (I Fly), a 12-lane bowling center, a football circus, kids water games court, and a cinema complex comprising 10 halls constructed at the highest international standards.
