Arabian Travel Market confirms The Address for 2010
The Address Hotels + Resorts named official host hotel group for another year
Dubai, UAE. 4th May 2008: Reed Travel Exhibitions - the company behind Arabian Travel Market, the Middle East’s premier travel and tourism event - has reappointed Emaar Hospitality Group’s 5-star premium brand, The Address Hotels + Resorts, as the official accommodation provider and host hotel group for the 2010 show.
Following its one-year contract for this year’s show, The Address Hotels + Resorts, which incorporates four properties - The Address Downtown Burj Dubai; The Address Dubai Mall; The Address Dubai Marina and The Palace – The Old Town – will again be the official accommodation provider for the show’s Hosted Buyers programme in 12 months time.
Arabian Travel Market’s Hosted Buyers programme includes hundreds of specialists from the leisure and golf segment and meetings sector, as well as 25 international press brought in to cover the show.
Speaking on the appointment, Mark Walsh, Group Exhibition Director, Reed Travel Exhibitions, said: “Emaar Hospitality Group is one of the most prominent and respected names in UAE hospitality and The Address Hotels + Resorts portfolio has further underlined its reputation for excellence.
“We strive to foster relationships with brands and companies which mirror the show’s status as the leading event of its type regionally and we believe that in The Address Hotels + Resorts, we have found a long-term partner for Arabian Travel Market.”
Emaar Hospitality Group revealed its association with Arabian Travel Market, which runs from 5-8th May at the Dubai International Convention & Exhibition Centre, is an important facilitator in raising awareness within the international community, where it plans to unveil The Address properties in key cities and tourist destinations in the Middle East and North Africa region, the Indian Subcontinent, Asia, Europe and America over the next ten years.
Marc Dardenne, Chief Executive Officer, Emaar Hospitality Group and Emaar Hotels & Resorts, said: “Arabian Travel Market attracts a truly diverse range of key decision makers from across the globe. The host hotel support for the event by The Address Hotels + Resorts complements our efforts to strengthen and develop relationships with a wide spectrum of players both here in our home market and internationally via the Hosted Buyers programme.”
The Address is a modern brand that focuses on a ‘one size fits one’ strategy where benefits to guests are the priority. Positioning its messaging as ‘where life happens’, The Address Hotels + Resorts offers a more personal and approachable experience to guests in a lifestyle environment, whether it be business, leisure or group travellers. ‘Where life happens’ demonstrates The Addresses’ versatile approach to servicing every targeted customer – guaranteeing a first-class hospitality experience for every guest.
Arabian Travel Market is held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, Ruler of Dubai, and under the auspices of the Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing, Government of Dubai.
Organisers of the event today announced that Arabian Travel Market 2009 will be one of the largest instalments in its 16-year history.
Despite global economic uncertainty contributing to a slight drop in exhibitor numbers over 2008 figures, itself a record-breaking show, the organisers believe sign-up of over 2,100 exhibitors and stand-sharers, from 69 countries, including 70 new-to-market representatives, not only underlines the Middle East’s importance to the industry’s global recovery, but illustrates the show’s potential to foster greater business development via enhanced business friendliness and knowledge sharing capabilities.
