RTA sets new timings for services during Eid al-Adha holiday

Roads and Transport Authority :

With the advent of Eid al-Adha, the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced a revised timing of all services during Eid holiday at all service delivery outlets including customer service centers, paid parking zones, public buses, Dubai Metro, marine transit modes, driving institutes, and vehicle testing & registration centers.
Detailing these schedules, Dr. Aysha Al Busmait, Director of RTA Marketing and Corporate Communication, said: "All customer service centers will be closed as of Arafat Day (5 November) and resume official duties on Wednesday 9 November. With the exception of the Fish Market & multi-storey parking lots, all paid parking zones in the Emirate of Dubai will be free as of 5 November, and normal fees will be resumed on Wednesday 9 November."
Al Busmait called upon all vehicle owners to comply with the applicable rules and avoid parking their vehicles on the sidewalks or at the tail of parked vehicles as such practice would entail fines against offenders.

From the first day of Eid up to Thursday 10 November, Metro stations will receive commuters from 05:50 am up to 01:00 am (after midnight), and on Friday from 01.00 pm up to 01.00 am (after midnight)."
The timetables of public buses (Dubai Bus) will be as follows: Public transport stations, including main stations (such as Gold Souk, Al Ghubaiba 1 & 2 and Satwa) will start service from 06.00 am and continue up to 12.00 am (midnight) throughout the week. Sub-stations (such as Al Qusais, and Al Quoz Industrial) will start service from 06.00 am and continue up to 12:00 am (midnight). As for Jebel Ali Station, the service will start from 06.00 am and continue through 10.00 pm.

Dubai Metro stations feeder bus service at Hor Al Anz, Al Rashidiya, Mall of the Emirates, Ibn Battuta, and Burj Khalifa stations will start service from 06.00 am and continue up to 01.00 am (after midnight).

The service time of inter-city bus stations will be as follows: The main stations (such as Al Ghubaiba and Sharjah), will offer services around the clock, while sub-stations (such as Sabkha and Abu Dhabi), the service will start from 06.00 am and continue up to 12.00 am (midnight). As for Hatta, Fujairah, Ajman, Karama & City Center Stations, the service will start from 06.00 am and continue up to 10.00 pm. Dubai Metro feeder bus stations at the Union Square will start service from 06.00 am and continue to 12.00 (midnight).
The timing of marine transport modes throughout the week will be as follows: "The water bus will start service from 07.00 am and continue up to 11.00 pm, water taxi service will start from 10.00 am and continue up to 10.00 pm, and Ferry Dubai will start service from 10.00 am and continue up to 10.00 pm."

Driving schools and institutes (such as the Emirates Driving Institute, Belhasa Driving School, Al Ahli Driving School, and Dubai Driving Center), will be closed on Arafat Day (5 November) and resume services on the third day of Eid (8 November). The Galadari and Al Ahli Driving Centers will be closed on the first and second day of Eid and resume services on the third day of Eid (8 November).

Drivers' tests and issuing of drivers' licenses services will be closed as of Arafat Day (Saturday 5 November) and services will resume on Wednesday 9 November. As for shopping centers-based registration offices, the working hours depend on the business hours of the respective shopping centers. As for vehicles testing and registration centers, all centers will be closed starting from Arafat Day (Saturday 5 November) and will resume services on Wednesday 9 November.
Dr. Aysha continued: "Fixing customers service schedules is part of RTA's strategy aimed at providing the best services to all community spectrums aimed at delivering top class services at world-class standards applicable in this regard in a way that meets customer needs of these services during Eid Al Adha holiday.
